This absolutely beautiful Carstens of W. Germany bowl is ceramic. It features a fabulous lavender color and hand painted gold flecks. The details on the bowl have deco nuances and are just lovely!
Red clay, it is a hand painted glaze and excluding a small chip on the back (see pic), it is in beautiful vintage shape.
Stores like Anthropology are making knock offs of this style now, and they aren't nearly as pretty and cost twice as much!
